Ephesians 4:11-12
"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ."
CBI is designed to be another tool alongside what the Pastoral staff and other ministries already are doing to "equip saints for the ministry". There is no place for laymen on the sidelines in Christianity. CBI is part of the process of discipleship to enable laymen to influence the world for Christ.
