Mother’s Day Services
Our evening service is canceled on May 11 in honor of Mother’s Day and to allow families to spend time together!

Spanish Bible Study
The Wednesday night Spanish Bible Study will have its end-of-year study this Wednesday, May 14, in the Church Chapel. All are welcome!

Missions Budget
It is with great joy that the Deacon Fellowship announces the overwhelming vote of the Colonial fellowship last Sunday evening to approve the missions’ budget, which includes adding four new missionary families. It was a 99.51% approval by secret ballot. Enclosed in this bulletin is our new missionary families and ministries prayer sheet. May God continue to encourage us to be a globally-minded local church.

New Members’ Luncheon
Pastor Daniel and Martha will be hosting new members’ luncheons for members who joined in the past year. The first luncheon will be held on May 18 for the first 40 to sign up. If you have not attended a luncheon in the past, please sign up at the Welcome Center. Further luncheon dates will be announced in the bulletin.

Message Series on Moral Purity
Pastor Daniel will continue his message series on Moral Purity during the evening service on May 18. The series will conclude with a fourth and final message during the evening service on June 1, and the four-part series will be available on CD in the bookstore in the days following.

Walk for Life - Crisis Pregnancy Center
Help the Crisis Pregnancy Center by participating in the upcoming Walk for Life on Saturday, May 3 at the Virginia Zoo. For information, contact Pat Martin (547-3328) or visit www.cpcfriends.com.

Upcoming Events
 
VIVACE! Summer Music Camp—Pick up a brochure at the Welcome Center or visit www.vivacecamp.com to find out more about this summer music camp for students of all ages and skills!  The dates for this summer are August 11-15 here at CBC (9am-12Noon daily).  Instruction will be given in violin, viola, cello, bass, piano and choir.  A new addition this year is the Advanced Chamber Music Camp.  The entire week will focus on teaching musicianship and character through exciting musical activities.  Questions?  Contact Kristin Campbell.

Bible Study in Romans
A new Bible study series on the book of Romans will be starting May 16 at the Military Christian Center (5632 Shell Road, Virginia Beach). All military singles, families, and veterans are invited to join us on Fridays at 6:30 p.m. for dinner and 7:30 p.m. for the study.
